With the titles, the pained lyrics, and the artwork, the expectations before listening to this EP were clearly aimed at some mournful doom, but this unsigned Washington D.C. quartet actually thrash like there's no tomorrow, and they're pretty good at it. With a dark edge that opposes the thrashy festive atmosphere, blistering cuts like 'Turning of Tides', agile guitarwork and a rabid vocalist, who could also front a death metal band, they won't be unsigned for long. Not if there's any justice in the world
