NOTES
....................................................
RAUNCHY renew their sound and outlook with their third full length "Death Pop
Romance" on LIFEFORCE RECORDS. Being hailed as "Futuristic Hybrid Metal" with
their previous releases on Nuclear Blast ("Confusion Bay" 2004 and "Velvet
Noise" 2002), the Danish quintet take the necessary steps to propel their
sound forward by mixing intensely abrasive thrash riffs and dynamic drumming
in the vein of Strapping Young Lad and Fear Factory with their signature
sound, while subliminally incorporating elements of pop music and melodic
death metal in the vein of Soilwork or In Flames.

Formed in 1994, within a short amount of time, RAUNCHYs status elevated to
"Denmark's best-kept metal secret" getting press quotes such as "RAUNCHY is
the beginning of a new area of modern heavy metal", "One of the best Danish
debuts EVER" and "Forget about the latest hype-neo-metal band from L.A. .bow
down to RAUNCHY!" Between 1995 and 1998, RAUNCHY recorded two demo CD's,
which were later used on the compilation "Extremity Rising Vol. I & III"
which led to their first initial signing to Mighty Music's sublabel Drug(s)
for their first release "Velvet Noise." RAUNCHY quickly got picked up by the
well established metal label Nuclear Blast in 2002. "Velvet Noise" got
re-issued for all of Europe and was followed by their second full length
records "Confusion Bay" in 2004.

In 2005, RAUNCHY signed a deal with world's finest up and coming metal label
LIFEFORCE RECORDS to release their third full length record entitled "Death
Pop Romance." Raunchy seamlessly expand upon their signature sound of old to
develop an ultimately more impressive offering. No more questions - THIS is
"Futuristic Hybrid Metal"!
